Coffee Supplier at ICBS

Visit the largest trade show for Cafe Professionals this May 2022

Come and join us at the International Café and Beverage Show (ICBS 2022) this 19 – 21 May 2022 at KL Convention Centre to network and get up-to-date on what’s the latest with the industry!

It is THE trade event and marketplace for café owners, managers, and other sections of the F&B community to source high-quality products and services from over 150 brands.

It is clear that coffee is becoming a national obsession in Malaysia. Rising demand and increasing consumption have fueled a sharp rise in the number of cafés and specialty coffee outlets popping up all over the country, even during a pandemic! Research has already shown that over 60% of Malaysians are regularly drinking coffee daily with an average consumption of 2.38 cups per day, putting it in the top 50 coffee-consuming countries in the world.

Malaysian National Coffee Championships (MNCC)

This interest and thirst for new experiences have not just stopped at consumption. It has driven the increased knowledge and sophistication of the supply side with Malaysian Baristas showing their mettle with high-quality performances in national and international competitions.

The Malaysian Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA) has been organising the Malaysian National Coffee Championships (MNCC) since 2014 with the winners of categories in this globally accredited competition going on to represent Malaysia at the World of Coffee Championships (WCE).  In the short space of time since Malaysia has been competing on this world stage, we have already won gold and silver medals at the WCE, giving testimony to the talented professionals that exist in our country.  Currently, the MNCC sends national champions in three categories to the WCE and they include the Malaysian Latte Art Championships (MLAC), Malaysian Brewers Cup (MBRC), and Malaysian Barista Championships (MBC).

International Café and Beverage Show 2022

Running alongside the 2022 MNCC will be the International Café and Beverage Show (ICBS 2022). Organised by Montgomery Asia, a global exhibitions company with over 100 years of experience, the three-day event will look to focus on specialty coffee, café lifestyle and products, as well as furniture and café design, and not forgetting equipment and technology related to café operations.

ICBS will be a marketplace for café owners, managers, and other sections of the Food and Beverage community to network and source high-quality products. With such a highly targeted and relevant trade audience to be invited, it will also offer unique sponsorship and branding opportunities.

Brands confirmed sponsoring to date include Dankoff Coffee, Dutch Lady, Coffex Coffee, Gruppo Cimbali, Chung Ho, Vitasoy, Monin, Hario, Marco Beverage Systems, and Cafetto.

The exhibition has also secured international participation from Singapore, Germany, and Vietnam.

Christopher McCuin, Managing Director of Montgomery Asia says, “We are excited to bring ICBS into Kuala Lumpur this year.  Stepping foot into this exciting market we are fully committed to working closely with the Malaysian Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA) to bring the whole coffee and related industries together and help play our part in moving this dynamic sector even further forward.”

Ms. Yip Leong Sum, The President of MSCA is equally enthusiastic,

“We are pleased to be partnering with Montgomery Asia and we look forward to working with them over the next three years and to continue to deliver yet another successful run of our iconic Malaysian National Coffee Championships (MNCC) to our valued partner and stakeholders.”
